StudentAid: Student Relief Fund

Summary

Student Relief Fund is a scholarship programme for talented students who are facing financial difficulties and thus are forced to give up their academic career. The goal of the project is to prevent them from taking such steps. We believe that one talented man or woman - with appropriate support - could implement many innovative changes in the future.

Challenge

The Pro Akademika Foundation operates in SWPS University - university that each year admits around 4 600 students. Around 240 students ask every year for financial aid. The situation is even more pressing now - in the face of war in Ukraine. Over 160 SWPS students are Ukrainian citizens. If reunited with their families here in Poland, they become the only breadwinners: their parents, siblings who don't know the language aren't able to find any employment.

Solution

Within the StudentAid: Student Relief Fund we will award scholarships for students in need. One full scholarship amounts to USD 2100, which will cover the full cost of tutition fee for one semester for one person. In 2022 we awarded 51 scholarships for Ukrainian students. Help us award one more!

Long-Term Impact

Thanks to the StudentAid pogramme students will be able to continue studies and - at the same time - support their families. As our mission states: one talented man or woman - with appropriate support - could implement many innovative changes in the future.
