Success in Kenya Schools with The Virtues Project

I salute you all VPIA friends. May I acknowledge your love, generosity, kindness, compassion, caring and sharing. It is quite thoughtful and mindful of you to share and care for us at Mwiyenga Primary School. 

• The school's performance has improved from 212 marks to an average mean score of 273 marks. The poor performance was due to lack of commitment from the teachers, poverty, lack of knowledge and responsibility on the part of the parents, truancy, and absenteeism.
• With the arrival of The Virtues Project in the school and the practice of The Five Strategies, teachers are committed and dedicated to their work, parents have been taken through table banking and virtues training that has seen them become more responsible and reliable. They now have the initiative to care for the needs of their children and have opted to help the needy children in school. We, the staff of Mwiyenga Primary, will forever be grateful to the VPIA.
• Through the donation from the VPIA towards the Poultry Project, we have managed to do our first sale, earning 45000 shillings, and that has helped us boost our benevolent kitty. It is from this kitty that we offer porridge to 5-7-year-olds, that's grades pre-primary school up-to grade 2. This has risen the population of the school rapidly. During lunchtime, orphans and destitute take a mixture of maize and beans for lunch. Kudos to VPIA. You have put smiles on these innocent children's faces.
• Teachers have also taken parental responsibility to orphans who are homeless. They have given them shelters and are collectively meeting their needs. If it were not for The Virtues Project, many children would not be in school today, even others would be dead.
• The uniforms have increased the pupil's self-esteem and have led to a higher performance of individual pupils.  
• Many students from Mwiyenga Primary School who have joined Kilimo Girl's Secondary school are doing pretty well due to virtues and the payment of school fees from the VPIA.

More support will see the school improve year in year out.   Thanks to your generosity and helpfulness we now have water, poverty is being eradicated slowly but surely, and this year we look forward to producing above 400 marks for our best candidate, who by the way is our Virtues Club Chairperson!
