Competition Team
During this quarter, school testing and co-curricular activities are taking place. Our schools are excelling!!
We have completed drama and are still proceeding with music and ball games. We won at the cluster level and took second place at the zonal level. I'm happy to report that both Virtues Schools, Mwiyenga Primary and St. Joseph's Eshirumba Primary, have qualified for the sub-county level on 9th and 10th July 2026.
For any superb performance, discipline takes first priority. This discipline is checked by Virtues. We are really grateful because practicing virtues has instilled discipline in our learners, leading to high performance both academically and in co-curricular activities.
We have also completed zonal and cluster exams, in which St. Joseph took 1st place in Grade 9 and 2nd in Grade 6. Mwiyenga took 4th position in both Grade 6 and 9 exams.
Our achievements during this quarter:
1. Improved performance
2. Increase in enrollment; the population has increased to 487 learners
3. Zero pregnant cases in our schools
4. Very disciplined learners both at school and at home
5. Reliable and responsible learners, teachers, and parents
6. Zero truancy and absenteeism in schools; schools are now yearning for the Virtues Project training
Strengths
1. Availability of facilitators and master facilitators who guide learners, teachers, and parents
2. Weekly
Virtues Pick guides learners throughout the week
3. School routine where learners attend Virtues Club every Tuesday
4. Very committed and purposeful teachers
4. Donations from GlobalGiving
Challenges 1. More
Virtues materials are needed
2. Land needed for horticulture
3. Lack of funds to support, especially our learners who are orphans
We are looking forward to providing Virtues training for teachers in the near future!
We are grateful for your caring and generosity in supporting us. Together we are transforming the lives of those we touch, their families, and their communities. Please share our reports with your friends on social media. Thank you.
