Champey Academy continues to set attendance records. On an average day, a total of between 90 and 120 kids come to Champey. Although the numbers bounce around a bit, it is accurate to say that we are seeing an averaging of 100 students or more every day.
Champey offers 2 instructions blocks each day, 6 days days per week. The morning and afternoon class sessions each last for 3 ½ hours with a 30 minute break in the middle.
This means that twice each day every Monday through Saturday, crowds of smiling,laughing kids flood into our Champey Academy of Arts school, which is located in the Cambodian capital of Phnom Penh, to receive free instruction in their chosen artistic discipline of traditional Cambodian dance, music or drawing and painting.
These classes are only possible because of the generous support of you, our donors.
