Tuesday, November 28 is Giving Tuesday Donor Match Day
It is a full house these days at Champey Academy with daily attendance approaching 100 students in recent weeks as students of all ages continue to flock to dance, drawing and music classes With attendance at near capacity, our approximate daily roster breaks down as follows: Dance students- 40, Painting and Drawing students -40 and Music students -20 .

Students are excited by a recent breakthrough agreement between Champey Academy and the Raffles Hotel in Phnom Penh who has agreed to feature senior Champey dancers every Friday night at the hotel as well as continuing to exhibit ( and sell) some student drawings and painting. The weekly performances will provide a small income to our team which will include 6 dancers , 4 musicians and one narrator from Champey who will introduce and explain Cambodian dance to hotel guests. It is hoped that sales of artworks might provide income for Champey artists.
The introduction to hotel guests is a great opportunity to begin to establish Champey Academy as a tourist destination and create additional opportunities.
