By Jonathan Kolo | Project Leader
The Timeout 4Africa Foundation continues to aid and encourage kids to stay in school and reach for the stars in Minna, Nigeria. In November, 2015, project leader Jonathan Kolo and his family visited Magaji International School, the newest school that the Foundation is supporting in Minna.
Magaji International School is a primary school located in the village of Maikunkele in the outskirts of Minna township. The school is 4 years old, has approximatley125 students, 7 teachers, and a head master. During our 45-minute visit to the school, we provided the students words of encouragement about staying in school and donated over 200 notebooks and writing materials to both students and teachers. It was very touching and rewarding to see the big smiles on the faces of students and teachers after they received our donations.
The head master, Mr. Jacob, expressed his sincere thank you to the Timeout4Africa Foundation for choosing Magaji International School to assist with their educational needs. He assured us that the kids will make the best use of the supplies.
As always, we want to take this time to thank our donors for the continuous support. The Foundation would not be able to do this much-needed work in Minna without your support. We are also glad to inform you of our recent promotion to Superstar status on the Global Giving platform. This promotion will ensure us better visibility on the Global Giving site and will further expose us to more sponsors and possibly more donors.
Please don't forget to follow us on Twitter @ Timeout4Africa and also like us on Facebook. Thank you and we wish everyone a Happy New Year.
