The letter was written by Qiqi, who went to high school in September 2021. During her first year of high school, she suffered from severe depression, which not only brought her great mental trouble, but also caused various kinds of physical vomiting, pain and discomfort, which made her unable to adapt to the boarding life in senior high school. She was supposed to be a sophomore in high school, but she had to stay at home and return to school to finish her studies when her is getting better. For a girl born in a rural family, her family's understanding of depression is so poor that she has to fight it alone!
We have been in close contact with her since we got the news. During her recuperation at home, we invited her to participate in some online communication workshops organized by Shining Star to help her communicate with more people and broaden her horizon.
Not only that, but we also organized volunteers to communicate with her by letter. We want her to understand that she is not alone in her struggle in the dark! She is also try her best to over come the depression. The student's grant status will be retained until she returns to school to continue funding her education.
