Many elderly people in poor communities across Ghana struggle to afford daily meals due to poverty, illness, and lack of family support. Some older adults live alone and are unable to work or provide food for themselves, leaving them vulnerable to hunger and malnutrition. This project will provide nutritious food aid and basic support for 400 vulnerable elderly people in underserved communities.
Elderly people living in poverty often face food insecurity, poor health, and social isolation. Many can no longer work because of age and illness, while rising food prices make it difficult to afford regular meals. Without support, many elderly people suffer from malnutrition, weakness, and worsening health conditions.
This project will distribute food packages and essential nutritional support to vulnerable elderly people in poor communities. Beneficiaries will receive staple foods such as rice, maize, cooking oil, beans, and other nutritious items to help improve their health and well-being. Community outreach teams will also monitor vulnerable elderly beneficiaries and provide basic care support when needed.
This project will reduce hunger and improve the health and living conditions of 400 elderly people. It will help protect vulnerable seniors from malnutrition, improve their quality of life, and provide dignity and care for older adults living in poverty.
