Every child deserves a chance to learn, yet children with disabilities in some part of Nigeria are often excluded. This project will support 50 children with physical and learning disabilities to access mainstream schools through mobility aids, specialized learning materials, and teacher training. By creating accessible, inclusive classrooms, we ensure each child receives tailored support to thrive academically and socially.
Children with disabilities are among the most marginalized, often hidden at home and denied education due to stigma and inaccessible schools. Without intervention, they face lifelong dependency and poverty. Supporting them now prevents exclusion, empowers families, and shifts community attitudes. Donors help break these barriers, giving these children the skills and confidence to reach their full potential.
This project will identify and meet the specific needs of each child through assessments, mobility aids, hearing aids, braille materials, and physiotherapy. Teachers will receive training in inclusive education techniques, and school facilities will be upgraded with ramps and accessible spaces. Parent support groups will be formed, ensuring long-term advocacy and sustained care for the children's education.
By empowering 50 children to access education, this project fosters independence, confidence, and community participation. Over time, families face fewer care burdens, and communities gain educated, capable citizens. Donor support transforms not just the children's lives but also societal perceptions, showing that inclusion drives opportunity, productivity, and long-term social impact.
