IEA Annual Iftar 2025
By Dr. Yehdua Stolov | Executive Director

Especially at a time of war, there's something special about Muslims, Jews, and Christians sitting together at an interfaith iftar dinner in Jerusalem. The break-the-fast meal for Muslims celebrating Ramadan included people from many faiths, and was organized by the Interfaith Encounter Association.
People from different faiths from 10 different IEA groups, as well as new participants, gathered in the heart of Jerusalem to break the fast, share a meal, and connect beyond differences.
From Mrs. Nahed Sakis' heartfelt prayer to the warm words of our director, Yehuda Stolov, the evening was filled with meaningful conversations and a deep sense of community.

Interfaith Peacebuilding Initiative - Year 1
By Dr. Yehdua Stolov | Executive Director

The Interfaith Peacebuilding Initiative is a new strategic project, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), through MEPPA, brings together Palestinians and Israelis from diverse political and religious communities. This project started only one week before the break of the war but despite the harsh circumstances was able to exceed all it's targets.
Since October 2023, Interfaith Peacebuilding Initiative project has established 12 interfaith encounter groups, creating safe spaces where participants from different backgrounds can engage in meaningful dialogue to foster understanding and empathy. The perspectives gained in these discussions empower participants to advocate for lasting peace in their communities. The following video summarizes the first year of the project.

Interfaith Encounter Day 2024
By Dr. Yehdua Stolov | Executive Director
![]()
We were delighted to see so many old friends and new faces in our annual Interfaith Encounter Day. It was an amazing manifestation to how Jews, Muslims, Christians and Druze can be together in friendship, amidst everything that is going on in the Holy Land.
75 people joined us at the Swedish Theological Institute to celebrate the power of interfaith dialogue.
We heard greetings from IEA Director Yehuda Stolov, USAID representative Deb Perlman, STI director Anna Hjälm and Sheikh Kasem Bader.
Then, in smaller conversation circles, we shared stories of connection and small points of light that came up in each of our interfaith groups and in our personal lives in general, especially in the past 10 months. Everyone left with their hearts full, new friends and renewed hope.
