Support Access to Rights for Refugees in Bulgaria

The Foundation for Access to Rights continues to provide legal information, counseling and support to people in need, thanks to your generosity! 

Over the past months from June till the end of August, our lawyers, cultural mediators, hotline staff and all field workers have helped 7478 asylum seekers, refugees, migrants and stateless people.

These aren't just numbers. Every one of these thousands are people just like us - with their hopes and dreams.  With our work, we strive to help each of them continue to realize their dreams, to build their lives with their loved ones.

F. escaped his country of origin after being persecuted for political and religious reasons and sought asylum in Bulgaria. He works in the field of photography and visual arts. The asylum proceedings are still going on, but F. is trying to rebuild his life in Bulgaria - to find a job, to start his own business. The lawyers at FARhelped him open his own bank account, which is not easy for foreigners. This is an important step towards his financial independence and starting his own business. 

H. has a humanitarian status in Bulgaria. His wife who is deaf lived in Lebanon. H. sought our help to be reunited with his wife. H. received financial, logistical and legal support to cover his wife's expences andto successfully complete the family reunification procedure. Thus, they have a chance to start their lives together anew in Bulgaria.
