A 7.2-magnitude earthquake hit Turkey on Sunday, Oct 23. Many buildings collapsed, leaving hundreds trapped beneath the rubble. The Turkish Philanthropy Funds are supporting AKUT's efforts in search and rescue on the ground in Van.
AKUT is working on search and rescue, including rescuing people from beneath the rubble.
Already 185 people have been rescued, but hundreds still remain missing. AKUT is working on continued search and rescue in the earthquake-affected area.
