Hello Amazing Donors!

I'm thrilled to bring you the latest updates on our "Black Lives in Atlanta Through Education" project. Your support has sparked some incredible stories, and I can't wait to dive in and share them with you.

Our Journey So Far

For 14 years, we've been passionately working to support single parents in the Black community as they pursue higher education. It's been an incredible journey, and so far, we've had the privilege of assisting 115 single parents, 98 of whom are Black. Most are hardworking single mothers, managing on incomes under $30,000 and raising two children.

Your Impact – It's Remarkable!

Your generous donations, which have surpassed $29,000, have been a lifeline. Thanks to you, we've provided essential rent assistance, childcare support, counseling, financial coaching, and more. This support has been a game-changer for many families.

Building Wealth and Changing Lives

Here's the exciting part: the majority of our graduates, particularly in Nursing, are now earning $50,000 more annually. This isn't just about increasing income; it's about empowering these individuals to build wealth and stability for their families and the community.

Spotlight Story: Ashley's Triumph

Let me introduce you to Ashley, one of our stars. Inspired by her late mother, a nurse, Ashley embarked on her nursing journey at Chamberlain University in 2020. Despite the challenges of balancing school, work, and parenting, Ashley found a helping hand in our program, H.O.P.E. Inc.

With our assistance, including $400 monthly for rent and budget coaching, Ashley overcame her struggles. In October 2023, she graduated and secured a position as a labor and delivery nurse. She's now on a path to secure a brighter future for her family, a testament to the impact of your support.

A Heartfelt Thank You

Your support has been instrumental in turning dreams into reality for individuals like Ashley. Each donation you've made has rippled through lives, families, and the entire community, creating lasting change.

We're excited for the journey ahead and can't wait to share more success stories with you. Together, we're not just changing lives; we're shaping futures.

Warm regards,

Kenita Smith, BBA, MBA, MA
