Dear Supporters,

As spring unfolds, our commitment to the children of Ukraine continues to grow stronger, thanks to your unwavering support. As of April 1st, 2024, we have expanded our reach to support 8,524 children affected by the war, with 395 new children joining us in March alone. Your contributions have enabled us to provide essential support, including primary financial assistance, food packages, educational tools, and much more. Significant backing from GlobalGiving has further empowered our mission.

A highlight of our recent efforts is our Socialization Program - Camps, where 199 children found a haven in 2024, experiencing the camaraderie and relief that comes from being part of a supportive community.

Inspiring Story of the Month

Let me introduce you to Serhiy and his four children, Anya, Ira, Natalka, and Mykytka, from the village of Mylovo, Kherson Region. In March 2022, their lives were shattered by a rocket strike that took away their home and the children's mother and grandmother. Despite their unimaginable loss, they found a new home in Stepanivka, Vinnytsia region, and have been resilient in facing their new reality. The "Children of Heroes" Foundation has been there every step of the way, providing everything from educational gadgets to New Year's gifts, ensuring they have the resources to rebuild their lives. Their story is a powerful testament to the strength and courage found within the human spirit, and it's your support that makes this healing journey possible.

Our efforts go beyond immediate relief, aiming for a lasting impact on these children's lives, fostering their growth, education, and emotional well-being. As we continue this journey, we remain deeply grateful for your partnership, which lights the way to a brighter future for these young heroes.

Monthly report - November

Dear Supporters of Ukrainian Children,

As of December 1, 2023, we are delighted to share that your unwavering support has enabled us to extend assistance to 7,093 children, with an additional 326 children joining our Fund in November. Your commitment to our cause has an immeasurable impact on the lives of these young ones.

This month, we are proud to announce the commencement of our "Warmth for Children" project. As winter approaches, we are providing essential winter clothing, heaters, and other necessities to ensure the well-being of our wards during the cold months ahead. Your continued generosity empowers us to implement such crucial initiatives.

Allow us to introduce you to Halyna, a 16-year-old with a remarkable story. Halyna inherited her love of reading and writing from her father, a hero who tragically lost his life in the war. Despite facing the profound loss of her father, Halyna remains resilient and committed to fulfilling the dreams they shared. Her father's last wish was for her to develop her talents and pursue an education.

Halyna, now in the 11th grade, is an aspiring writer, poet, and storyteller. Her creativity knows no bounds, and she's determined to become a journalist to share the truth with the world. Your support has made it possible for Halyna to navigate the challenges she faces with grace and determination. We are honored to assist her on this journey and are inspired by her unwavering spirit.

Monthly report - September

Dear Supporters of Ukrainian Children,

We are deeply grateful for your unwavering support and commitment to our mission of providing long-term, comprehensive assistance to Ukrainian children who have tragically lost one or both parents due to the ongoing war.

As of October 1, 2023, we are proud to share that we are supporting 6,447 children, with 284 new children joining our Fund in September. Each child we assist carries a unique story of resilience and hope.

This month, we'd like to share an inspiring story that reflects the indomitable spirit of the children we serve. Meet 5-year-old Eva, a young hero in her own right. Eva's father, Maksym, served bravely to defend Ukraine and tragically lost his life near Balakliya on September 7, 2022. On that fateful day, Balakliya was liberated.

Despite her tender age, Eva's heart is filled with a desire to support the brave individuals she fondly calls "the Ukrainians" - those who selflessly protect their homeland. Her mother, Valentyna, wholeheartedly supports her daughter's noble cause. They have been dedicating their time and resources to help various military units and volunteer centers. Remarkably, their expenses have already reached half a million UAH, equivalent to Eva's state pension. Valentyna believes that investing in Ukraine's victory, not material possessions, is the most valuable legacy she can leave for her daughter's future.

Eva became a part of our Foundation just this August. In this short time, the family has received vital financial assistance, applied for preparatory courses for school, and is eagerly awaiting a tablet for Eva. We are incredibly proud to have such compassionate and conscious children among our wards.

Your unwavering support makes stories like Eva's possible. Thank you for standing with us in our mission to empower these children to overcome adversity and reach their full potential.
