This Children's Day, support children with Down syndrome in Nigeria who lack access to specialized healthcare, therapy, and inclusive education. Empower Future Initiative aims to raise $20,800 to provide 117 children with medical care, speech and occupational therapy, and psychosocial support-delivering 8,000+ hours of care annually. Your donation improves child development, promotes disability inclusion, and helps vulnerable children thrive.
In Nigeria, children with Down syndrome face limited access to early intervention, healthcare, and inclusive education, especially in low-income communities. Weak systems, poverty, and stigma prevent families from accessing essential therapy and support services. Without early care, children experience developmental delays, poor health outcomes, and exclusion from school and society, reinforcing inequality and limiting their future opportunities.
This project will provide 117 children with Down syndrome access to healthcare, therapy, and inclusive education. Services include medical checkups, speech and occupational therapy, psychosocial support, and learning programs. Families will receive training and support to improve home care. Over 8,000 sessions annually will boost cognitive, physical, and social development while promoting inclusion and reducing stigma.
This project will improve long-term outcomes for children with Down syndrome by increasing access to early intervention, healthcare, and inclusive education in Nigeria. It will empower families, reduce stigma, and promote disability rights and inclusion. Over time, children will gain independence, confidence, and better life opportunities, contributing to inclusive communities and reduced inequality.
