In the remote village of Chavdathal, Rajasthan, women had a challenging daily task - a long and strenuous walk to get clean water that took roughly an hour for each trip. To meet their household needs, they had to do this five times every day. Also, the water they collected was often contaminated due to the open well.
Seva Mandir mobilised the community and constructed a water storage tank on a nearby hill, directly connected to the well, saving 75% of their time and efforts. The women, recognizing the importance of this transformation, proactively formed a committee to ensure the tank's upkeep. Today, their lives have become much easier and hassle-free with more time for essential tasks and providing easy access to clean water. This newfound convenience has not only made daily life more straightforward but also healthier.
Your modest donation of $100 can make a significant difference to help us support a village community overcome hurdles and live a life of dignity.
Thank you for your dedication and support. Together, we can continue to make a lasting difference.
