Lend a Hand Bahamas continues to empower children, youth, and families through education, workforce development, food security, and community support programs across vulnerable communities in The Bahamas.
During this reporting period, our after-school and literacy programs provided safe spaces where children received homework assistance, academic support, mentorship, and enrichment activities. STEM and robotics programming introduced participants to technology and innovation while helping them develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Through the 4-H youth development model, young people also gained leadership skills, confidence, and a stronger sense of community.
Workforce development initiatives equipped youth and adults with practical skills in culinary arts, hydroponics, sewing, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and technical trades. These programs help participants build pathways toward employment, self-sufficiency, and economic opportunity.
Our hydroponics program continued to promote food security and sustainable agriculture by teaching participants how to grow, harvest, and market produce while exploring entrepreneurship opportunities within the agricultural sector.
Women and family empowerment initiatives provided skills training, mentorship, and income-generating opportunities, helping strengthen households and increase economic resilience.
Through health and wellness activities, community outreach, and crime prevention efforts, Lend a Hand Bahamas continues to create positive alternatives for children and youth while fostering healthier, safer, and more connected communities.
Together with our supporters and partners, we remain committed to creating opportunities, building resilience, and transforming lives throughout The Bahamas.
