Faster Case Detection and Responses Y
By Zachery Onyango | Project Leader
Impact Update – Faster Case Detection and Response
Your support is helping significantly reduce the time it takes to detect and respond to suspected Ebola cases.
Before these interventions, delays in reporting and response increased the risk of wider transmission. Today, with strengthened systems in place, response teams are able to act much faster.
With your contributions, we have:
- Improved early warning and reporting systems in high-risk communities
- Enabled quicker deployment of rapid response teams
- Strengthened coordination between local and national health structures
As a result, suspected cases are now being identified and managed more quickly, reducing the window for potential spread.
This improvement in response time is one of the most critical factors in controlling Ebola.
Your support is directly helping turn delayed reactions into rapid, life-saving action.

Impact Update – Strengthening Frontline Protection
Thanks to your support, we have made measurable progress in protecting frontline health workers during the Ebola response.
To date, your contributions have helped:
- Supply protective equipment to multiple healthcare facilities
- Support training sessions for health workers on infection prevention and control
- Improve safety protocols in treatment and isolation units
As a result, healthcare workers are now better equipped to safely manage suspected and confirmed Ebola cases, significantly reducing the risk of transmission within healthcare settings.
This progress is critical—not only for protecting those on the frontlines, but also for maintaining trust in the healthcare system.
Your support is directly translating into safer working conditions, stronger response capacity, and better protection for both patients and providers.

Preventing Ebola outbreak Escalation
By Zachery Onyango | Project Leader
Preventing Escalation
Ebola outbreaks can grow quickly if early action is not sustained. What begins as a small number of cases can escalate into a much larger crisis without the right interventions in place.
We are at a crucial point where decisive action can still contain the outbreak. However, we are scaling up response efforts to prevent further spread thanks to the partnership among partners involved in the fight against this case.
The team is currently working on expanding contact tracing, increasing supplies of protective equipment, and strengthening community awareness.
But time is not on our side. Delays in funding or resources can slow these efforts at a critical moment.
Your support today helps ensure that the response keeps pace with the risk. Acting now is the best way to prevent a larger outbreak tomorrow.
