"The deepest craving of human nature is the need to be appreciated." We cannot but thank you immensely for your kindness, generosity, and expression of solidarity to our project, SUPPORT COMMUNITY SANITARY COMPLEX IN S/EAST, NIG (54322)
In our last report dated June 12, we haven't made much progress as regards to receiving support in carrying out our humanitarian services for community support for sanitary complex.
During the September #littlebylittle campaign 12-26 we received few support, though not inclusive in this report. Disbursement from GlobalGiving are yet to arrive, looking towards any moment from now, GlobalGiving will send as usual for the continuation of our humanitarian services. In our next report you will see how your donation was used in our humanitarian assistance in community sanitary complex.
However, the community sanitary complex is a capital intensive project that requires huge amount of capital. The project is yet to take off. We are handicapped due to financial constraint and economic meltdown in the country.
As we mentioned in our last report dated June 12, Seventy-one percent of Nigeria's population does not have access to a sanitary toilet and disparities concentrate in rural areas. What this means is that, often people will defecate in plastic bags, roadsides, railway tracks or bushes surrounding their communities for lack of a better option.
Besides, poor sanitation is linked to transmission of diarrhoeal diseases such as cholera and dysentery, as well as typhoid, intestinal worm infections and polio. Poor exacerbates stunting and contributes to the spread of antimicrobial resistance. Many rural communities lack access to safe water and sanitation, and increasing water-related disasters such as floods and droughts.
Sam Onyemaechi Humanitarian foundation aimed at, to provide more support to local level sanitation plans and strategies, do more work on faecal sludge monitoring and management, communicate the benefits of investing in sanitation to communities.
As the crises rages on, insecurity, uncertainty, and humanitarian needs abound. We are committed to providing humanitarian and long-term support to rural communities.
Once again, thank you for your generous donation to SUPPORT COMMUNITY SANITARY COMPLEX IN S/EAST, NIG (54322) that supported these efforts.
Moreso, #givingtuesday campaign is right around the corner, November 29, we will be grateful to partner with you on that special day. We will also give you update as the campaign approaches through our project appeal letter as a reminder for the campaign exercises. Thanks for considering our organization and proud to partner with us.
With Kindest regards,
Samonyemaechi humanitarian.
