Who are they the 'Deafnuri'?

By Dinora | Intern

Hello,
This is Dinora from PeaceWinds Korea.
We opened a new donation project for the special people that want create a world where every deaf person is happy and travel without barriers.
This team called ‘Deafnuri’. The team name consists from English and Korean words. Deaf is from English deaf, and Korean word ‘nuri’ means ‘the world’. So Deafnuri means ‘The world of deaf people’.
These people gathered with the purpose of ‘creating a world where every deaf person is happy and able to travel without barriers’.
In 2021 these team is participated in PeaceWinds Korea project which calls “OpenLab of Youth Peace Economic”. This project supports the experimentation of various ideas for inter-Korean peace in which Deafnuri team won the Grant prize.
In 2022, after a long incubation period of PeaceWinds Korea they finally became a small organization which provides barrier-free service for deaf people. So its now the first Social Enterprise, composed of young Deaf people, helps deaf people to access information. And the main thing that they want is produce sing language travel conversation books for deaf people. And I want to inform that sing languages all over the world is different, and even the sign language used the divided countries, South and North Korea. (In case you didn’t know it like me).

So, they are social enterprise who want to change the world now but there faced the reality on their way.
They understood that it is really hard for young plus deaf people to create something and rise voice and speak about the passion. Nodody interested in their dreams and passion.
So we, PeaceWindsKorea, opened the donation box in order to help them reach their dreams and never give up on them.
We, PeaceWindsKorea, ask to your support and interest for these amazing and brave people to create the world that they want and make the world of deaf people full of joy and happiness.

I will inform you about them all in details little by little. I'm sure these people will show you the world with another angle and amaze you and influence you as they did it to me.

I will leave the link of their interview. Please watch and get to know better these amazing people:)

Thank you.
