Nine continues years of War in Syria, resulted in leaving hundreds of thousands of vulnerable families facing extremely severe conditions with unknown future. Thousands of disabled children are now living in very poor situation suffering from lack of access to basic rights: shelter, protection, education, health & treatment needs, etc. This fund will support the caring of disabled children & their families through securing suitable shelter, protection, education, health, and livelihood services
Most Syrian Internally Displaced People has been forced from area to other with nothing more than clothes on their backs.The outbreak of COVID-19 and deterioration of Syrian pound have worsened the situation especially for special needs.Food and necessities become more scarce due to difficult economic situation, no income is available. As a result of violence and excessive use of force in Syrian conflict many families suffer from disabilities and chronic injuries, such Fatima's case
Based on the identified situation, we took up the initiation of project through: 1. Providing safe house (Shelter) with suitable furniture for 5 families 2. Engaging 24 children with special needs with child protection services 3. Supporting families with needy basic food 4. Securing medical materials for disabled children 5. Securing livelihood opportunities (work opportunities) for their breadwinner 6. Provision of education stationery, school packages of 24 children
The project will support those families to secure the basic life-saving needs to protect them from the threats and protection concerns surrounding them. Ensure safe homes and maintain the dignity and privacy of their families and provide minimum basic services such as bathrooms and latrines. The project will bring some hope to the lives of these children and their families in despair through engaging them in protection and education services.
