Internally displaced people (IDPs) have been forced to flee their homes by conflict, violence, persecution or disasters, however, unlike refugees, they remain within their own country.
All over the world, more and more people are becoming internally displaced, with limited resources, without homes, without possibility to provide their families with elementary needs. When we say, elementary needs, food, shelter and decent jobs, there are also one need that every child have, no matter where they are born. It is a school.
In school, not only they learn and acquire the possibility to have better life in the future, but they also socialize and play with other kids. It is of great importance to them, not to be excluded from the groups they want to belong to.
Unfortunately, some of the about 1000 children from the wars in the Balkans are in the collective centers in Serbia now. Many of them had to drop out of school to help parents in order to earn some income and feed a family. They really need us.
For ten years, we are providing 750 children with school lunch, winter clothes, textbooks and tutoring. This way they had an opportunity to complete elementary and higher education.
We thank each and one of you, who donated over the ten years to this project. Be with us and make a difference in the life of those who will cherish it the most.
Yours,
Pomoc deci
