For a healthy life pure and safe drinking water is must. Every form life on earth depends in water. In short water is life but this term life is also related with safe drinking water. In the coastal region of Bangladesh many people suffer a lot for drinking water.
The water of this area is very salty. Most of the sources of water can’t be used for drink. Excess salinity, lack of propre water management and river embankment is the causes of the drinking water scarcity. When any natural disaster like cyclone or flood comes, the salty river water enters into the fresh water reserves like pond. Salinity causes cardiovascular diseases (CVD), diarrhea, and abdominal pain.
To serve the pure and safe drinking water to the coastal people Bangladesh Environment and development Society (BEDS) introduce a water treatment plant which purify the water by reverse osmosis and for doing that we use the solar energy. Coastal people can collect the water from our BANOJIBI campus. This water not only serve their drinking purpose but also many people take this water supply as a social business. It helps them to make smile on their face and their family.
We would like to thank all our donors for their amazing and continuous support for the coastal deprived people. We are requesting all our donors to start monthly recurring donation by clicking the following link;
