Bangladesh Environment and Development Society (BEDS) is a development organization which has been trying to provide safe drinking water to the climate vulnerable underprivileged Sundarbans coastal community. From this point of view BEDS uploaded a project in GlobalGiving for raising the required fund. Target grant of the project is 30,560 $. So far, 34 $ is raised from 3 honorable donors. We are absolutely grateful to the donors for being with us. But we couldn’t start our project activities yet due to the deficiency of budget.
We are communicating with our proposed beneficiaries at a regular basis. We are at their side to provide them advices whenever they are in need. We have already shared the news with the community that three donors have donated to support the project and they feel really happy. But their problems remained the same. But it is you sir; the donors, who can make it possible to help the coastal people in order to provide them safe drinking water.
Women of villages said, ``It is almost impossible for us to manage drinking water during the dry season that is summer. Water level of the ponds goes down beneath our collecting capacity and we have to walk for a long distance to collect water. We are at a loss’’.
It is our respectful urge to the donors, please be kind to the deprived communities and be with them.
