Trash to treasure outfits

We had a wonderful lady from Hoedspruit town that offered her time and skills to the creche once a week. She assited the teacher in planning daily activities and did fun projects with the children. On her last day the brought all the children cup cakes and they coloured some beautiful chrismas trees.

On the 14th of December 2023 the RISE creche had their graduation and Christmas party to end the year. It was a day filled with fun and laughter for the children from the RISE creche as we celebrated 22 children graduating for the creche. We are greatful for the oppurtunities we had through out the year in educating and assist these chilrdren into getting ready for the "big school".

At the RISE creche we put together a special day with christams gifts, delicious food and some amazing outdoor activities for all the children. Each child recieved a 2024 year calender, (with their school photo on) and a snack packet. The children's parents were invited to celebrated this day with their children this is a great way to also show the parents what the children learned and achived at the creche and join in the festivities.

The Children from RISE creche had the oppertunity to show off their "trash to treasure" creations in a very well planned fashion show. They made this with the help of volunteers from the Nourish Eco Village, they were very proud to show off their creativity. As an creche that is very aware of recycling this was an excellent way to show how they can reuse plastic and halp to keep the enviroment clean.

We are looking forward to welcoming back the children for 2024 to the RISE creche a new year means new beginnigs, new oppertunities, new adventures.. We are hoping to have more volunteers assisting in the creches this year and to help us develope more educational toys and ways to teach.
