We are nourishing our seeds with lots of learning!

Chess time!
Back in April, we led a successful fundraising campaign to support our youngest students at Amún Shéa School directly. Since then, our Semillas (which means "seeds") learning community has been very busy with lots of fun activities that encourage optimal early childhood development.
Here's a quick recap of three recent activities specific to our Semillas learning community from April to July 2023:
1. Chess time: At the end of April, our Semillas students were introduced to the world of chess! Studies show that learning to play chess at an early age enhances problem-solving skills, creativity, critical thinking, self-regulation, and so much more!
2. Creative reading exposition: At the end of May, our Semillas students participated in a creative reading session where they fostered comprehension and expression through stories, rhymes, community customs, photographs, texts, and oral narratives.
3. Yoga sessions: Every week, our Semillas students participate in yoga class. Yoga is awesome for early childhood development because it enhances motor skills and coordination and increases concentration and attention.
