FOREFRONT School Education Project Update (2023 Q4
Students welcome FOREFRONT staff to school
Happy New Year! Towards the end of 2022, a team of seven FOREFRONT staff had the privilege of going to India for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic to check-in on the progress of key projects and encourage our local staff and students. During this trip, we built new water wells, hosted multiple diabetes workshops with our local changemakers, held female hygiene seminars, hosted our first ever youth-empowerment workshop called FOREFRONT Fearless, and most importantly, visited our FOREFRONT School.
We were warmly and excitedly welcomed by our students from Pre-K to 3rd grade. We visited each grade, learned with them, conducted science experiments, and had a field day together. It was an absolute amazing experience meeting our students in person bursting with smiles and excitement. We stayed there all day till dark because we were so inspired. During the evenings, we had staff meetings, workshops, and team bonding activities.
At the end of the year, we held a community engagement session at our school inviting the whole community along with our school parents for a Christmas celebration. The students performed for the community.
Finally, we completed our recreation area and running track where students will be able to enjoy recess and physical education outdoors. We have more upcoming projects coming up this spring to continue to provide more resources and tools to our students thanks to your generous support. In addition, in January, we will open up admissions for our next academic year welcoming an additional 25 students to our FOREFRONT School and continuing to provide quality education.
Thank you for your support and being United In Compassion. In 2023, we look to continue our partnership as we are Better Together.
