Action for Development, with the support of the Stanley Thomas Johnson Stiftung Foundation and the Municipality of Bernex, distributed heaters, coal and wood to individuals and families in need, to withstand the harsh temperatures and weather conditions of the winter months.
The winterization campaign started in November 2019 and will run thoughout January 2020, reaching the provinces of Kabul, Parwan and Kapisa.
Among the beneficiaries of the winterization campaign were the families of about 200 children attending Action for Development's schools for "street working children" in Kabul; AfD also distributed additional items, like shoes and coats, to the children in need.
As we move into the new year, Action for Developments continues providing education to street working children in Kabul, through our 3 centers located in the city. This project is vital in supporting these children and guarantee them access to basic education. For this reason, every donation is going to significantly contribute to the project and to ensure its implementation throughout 2020.
Sincerely,
The team at AfD
