Poorly resourced rural primary schools face significant challenges, including inadequate infrastructure, a shortage of qualified teachers and learning materials, and socioeconomic issues such as child labor and poverty. These issues collectively impact the quality of education and student outcomes.
Infrastructure & Resource Development: "Home-grown" teachers: Recruiting and training teachers from the local community improves retention and cultural relevance. Low-cost infrastructure: Using local materials to build classrooms, school gardens, and sanitation facilities. Essential learning tools: Prioritizing basic resources like books and writing materials to reduce pressure on staff.
The impact of hardship on primary schools and primary and community healthcare. Hardship has consequences for our primary schools. Getting tired, hungry and upset children ready to learn eats into resources and classroom time. Long Term. The Project serves vulnerable, orphaned, and needy children to help lift the community out of poverty.
