Dear Donor's,

On behalf of all of us at  SHARE, thank you for all your gifts received to help education of underprivileged children in Uganda.

Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.
Proverbs 22:6

With your support, we are able to take a fresh approach to ending Poverty—from  supporting community-based education programs, to launching early childhood and school nutrition initiatives, topiloting improved access to farm-to-table and local food resources.

We approach poverty as a complex problem with multiple solutions that often work best in combination, and through cooperation and collaboration between communities and organizations.

We believe we can end poverty in Uganda and we are fortunate to be working alongside a passionate group of supporters like you; people who commit their resources to breaking the cycle of  poverty in our communities—and transforming the lives of individuals and families across the board.

For this we are truly grateful

Hammerslag SCHOOL in UGANDA!

When you live in America or other first-world countries, you sometimes forget how other people are living. Children suffer especially hard in poor countries.

SHARE is dedicated to complete construction of classrooms in Uganda to help disadvantaged children who do not have a school to attend and for young girls who are at risk for human trafficking to get the education they so desperately need. (School Dropouts girls taken to work in Saudi Arabia, face a lot of challenges, including death)

Presently, we support  4  projects in Uganda:

Hammerslag  Primary School which has more than 550 students and’

Child Sponsorship of 50 children

Vocational Schooling has more than 150 students.

Tree Planting  Youth Volunteers to fight climate change

Community Health support for vulnerable households

Today we have only 3 monthly donors, this has affected our efforts to complete construction of the school to support the education of underprivileged children. Eg. 90 percent of the proceeds received in 2015 to 2018 through global Giving fundraiser page went to building safe, secure, classrooms so that the kids there have a place where they can learn and grow.

School Dropouts!

We teach them life skills, skils for self reliance to young girls.

New Classrooms, toilets Constructed!

These brick-and-mortar schools are dedicated to helping the underprivileged of Uganda get a leg up in life.

School Building Project started in 2015!

The school is built in an area of poverty, the majority of the local people scratch a living from the soil and many families live on less than £1 per day.

School fee's in Uganda.

In Uganda most schools are privately run fee paying schools and many families cannot afford to pay the fees. Consequently a large proportion of the children do not receive even a basic education and of those who start many drop out for lack of funds.

In 2012 before donor support, our school was in very poor condition with very few amenities and there were no education opportunities offered to help them beyond primary stage. You can help build a school in Africa to change this.

The New School

In order to bring change to this situation we buiit 2 classroom by the end of 2018 School of ‘excellence’ which will enable pupils to begin at Primary 1 and progress through to the end of their education.

The school is envisaged to not only meet the educational needs of the children but also to run literacy classes,  vocational raining and practical skills workshops for school dropout outside of school hours.

It will provide employment for local people both during the construction stage and also when operational.

The school building commenced on 10th July 2014 and you can track progress in the timeline below.

Child Education Sponsorship Project

We believe that the cycle of poverty which is prevalent in so many areas of the world can ultimately only be alleviated through education and that a Childs life can be transformed by equipping them with the knowledge necessary to enable them to live a full and productive life.

With this aim SHARE started a child’ sponsorship fundraising page https://goto.gg/51124  to enable those children within the communities in Uganda in which we work to be able to attend school.

We are currently focusing on all villages previously affected by LRA rebels karamojong cattle raiders.

Teso region is a poor community with a high unemployment rate with many families living below the universally recognised poverty line and, as a consequence, there are many children who cannot attend school as their families cannot afford the fees.
