Dear Sponsor's,

Education is one of the most important tools for personal growth and the progress of society.  Unfortunately, many underprivileged children in Aparis Village are unable to access education due to a variety of challenges.

Without education these children face limited opportunities. Keeping them stuck in the cycle of poverty and inequality, for them education is not just about learning to read and write, it represents a chance to change their lives  and create a better future.

This report looks into why some children in Aparis Village cannot go to school ànd the actions taken by our organization to address this problem, the improvement's observed and the need to continue this effort.

There are many reasons poor children in Aparis Village are unable to attend school. These are tied to economic, social and cultural challenges.

Poverty is the highest reason poor children in our community can't go to school. Families living in poverty need their children to work to help earn money for food and other basic needs. This leaves no time for education. Even when schools are free, many poor families struggle to pay for books, uniforms, and transport.

Gender inequality. In many rural areas in Aparis Community, girls are not encouraged to go to school. The community believes their role is to stay home, doing domestic activities. cook and get married.

Lack of infrastructure. Many rural areas in our community don't have good or quality schools and trained, qualified teacher's. Schools are too far away, overcrowded classrooms.

Child labor. In our community, many poor children work in farm's, garden's to help their families. These jobs take up their entire day.

Orphans and homeless children. Children in Aparis Community often struggle to the most without support and guidance. Left to survive on their own. Making education a distant dream. Many live on the streets of Kumi town and are referred to as ikok, owokwok, etc, exposed to crime, exploited with no one to help them enroll into school.

Discrimination. (Social status). This discourages them from attending school. If a child came from a poor family or orphaned. He or she will look out of place.

Steps taken by our organization.

Aparis Community Development Program with partnerships with GlobalGiving is trying ensure every poor, orphaned, vulnerable child in Aparis Community has a chance to get an education using monthly donations  received:-

Pay tuition, buy uniforms,and scholastics.

Providing free lunches at school.

Work to improve infrastructure

Provide learning materials

Help students who at risk of dropping out.

Focus on the welfare of girl's. Giving boarding at school classrooms.

Conclusion!

Ensure education for underprivileged children in Aparis Village is essential for building a fair, inclusive, and prosperous society.

Education acts as a foundation for personal growth and social development empowering individuals to lead a better lives and contribute meaningfully to their community.

It equips poor children with tools to achieve their dreams and break free form the cycle of poverty.

Finally,  our Development partners, GlobalGiving, Aparis community, parents and policy makers must continue to work together to create a world where every child has the chance to succeed.
