Dear our well-wishers and funders (past and present),
he sponsored needy students continue to make good progress in the higher academic levels. We continue to receive more requests for scholarships at various education levels but additional needy students and pupils cannot be taken up because of lack of funds. In our view it’s not sustainable to keep soliciting for grants without creating an institution that can offer scholarships on a cost-sharing basis. In February this year, 2019, one of our directors embarked on the process of building a private owned school in which a fraction of enrolled pupils will be needy children. The 3-level storied building has now reached the 2nd floor and hopefully it will begin operations in February 2019. The project is being funded privately but one of its objectives is giving back to the commuinty.
Once this school opens what may only be needed may be school materials such as books, uniforms, among others. This way we will be able to sustainably support a relatively larger number with quality education at primary level. We will share photos of the school project in future as the project progresses.
