Dear sponsors and well-wishers,
I hope you are all doing great.
I bring you greetings from Uganda particularly from one of our long-term beneficiaries, Oliver, who recently graduated from College with a certificate Course in Secretarial studies.
Just a brief background, we took on Oliver about 11 years ago when she was in her Primary five. Oliver was an orphan living with a helpless guardian. With support from Orphans Against Aids and Alliance Africa, Oliver was sponsored up to Primary Seven and later from Form 1 to Form Four. She would later join College with the same sponsors where she pursued Secretarial studies in which she excelled as the candidate with the best Grades. Oliver had this to say at her graduation ceremony: “I wouldn’t have been here today wearing this graduation gown of honour if it wasn’t because of the good work of my sponsors”. She added: “I will do all I can to ensure that I give back to somebody else in need as a way of paying back to those who never knew me but gave in all they could to ensure that I get educated”.
Oliver is currently gainfully employed as a School Secretary in one of the upcoming schools in Mukono district.
Thanks to all those who made her education a reality.
Note that our long-term strategy of building a school which will support more needy children at primary level with quality education is still going on. Construction is underway and this will be shared in due course.
Thanks,
