We are grateful for your support in helping us to educate over 350 children in rural Ghana. Our programs were enhanced this year through teacher training, painting and repairing older school buildings, and new school uniforms for each child, sewn by our vocational training graduates.
Our local partners also used the school lunch program to improve childhood nutrition, at a time when food supplies were scarce and harvests were impacted by severe weather. By storing food in advance and growing vegetables in our school gardens, we are able to help children maintain their health during these challenging times.
We are also excited to have added a second kindergartent class at Tahama Learning Center, where children continue to thrive. The new teacher is a graduate of our youth education program and was born in a neighboring village. Next year, the teachers and students will expand their school garden and tree planting activities.
We look forward to continuing to grow our education programs to create opportunities for all of the children in our partner communities.
