Support flood victims in Mundri in South Sudan

FACE South Sudan has supported flood-affected communities in Mundri by providing emergency relief assistance, including food items, basic household supplies, and other essential needs to vulnerable families who lost their homes and livelihoods. The recent floods have displaced many households, destroyed crops, and limited access to clean water, leaving people in urgent need of continued humanitarian support. While FACE has made significant efforts to ease their suffering, the needs on the ground remain overwhelming. More support from GlobalGiving is crucial to scale up assistance, restore dignity, and help the affected families recover and rebuild their lives in Mundri East County

Facilitating Action for Community Empowerment (FACE) continues to support flood-affected communities in Mundri East, using limited resources from its own savings. In April 2025, FACE provided essential food items, such as flour and cooking oil, to 20 vulnerable households. This support helped reduce hunger, allowing children to return to school and enabling parents to seek further assistance from the community. The intervention was made possible through funding from GlobalGiving, which was aimed at rescuing the most vulnerable populations during emergencies such as floods and conflict. FACE South Sudan continues to appeal for additional support to reach more families in need.
