Dear Donors,
Many months have passed since the floods, and the needs of affected families have gradually changed. The most urgent emergency actions are behind us, yet the process of returning to normal life is still ongoing. That is why our support has also evolved — and today it looks different than it did at the beginning.
How we are helping now?
We support older adults in their daily lives — with meals, groceries, and assistance from volunteers.
We respond to the new needs of families who are only now able to start arranging their living spaces again.
We provide mental and emotional support, especially to seniors who are still coping with a sense of loss, stress, and loneliness.
What has changed?
Our assistance has shifted from emergency response to long-term, more home-centered support. No longer rescue from the water — but slowly rebuilding a sense of safety, daily routine, and everything the flood took away “between the lines.”
Why this still matters?
Even though the walls have dried, many people — especially older adults — still carry the emotional weight of this experience. Every conversation, every visit, and every piece of practical help brings them closer to feeling calm and supported again.
Thank you for allowing us to stay by their side now, when the needs are less visible, but just as important.
With gratitude,
Clementine Foundation
