SBSD (Support Bridge for Students with Disabilities) is a Tanzanian NGO supporting children and young women with disabilities through inclusive education, healthcare and protection services. We currently support over 400 children with special needs across Tanzania, helping them access education and essential care. However, limited funding affects our ability to meet growing needs. This project provides flexible support to strengthen SBSD's core programs and ensure continued services for children
Many children with disabilities in Tanzania face barriers to education, including lack of learning materials, limited access to inclusive support, and financial hardship. SBSD currently supports over 400 vulnerable children, but funding gaps prevent us from fully meeting their needs. As a result, some children risk falling behind or dropping out of school due to lack of consistent support.
This project will provide flexible support to strengthen SBSD programs for children with special needs. It will fund education support, learning materials, disability inclusion services, outreach activities, and essential program delivery. This ensures children continue attending school, receive necessary support, and are included in education without interruption.
This project will improve long-term access to inclusive education for children with disabilities in Tanzania. It will help reduce school dropout rates, improve learning outcomes, and strengthen SBSD's ability to deliver sustainable support. Over time, it contributes to a more inclusive society where children with disabilities are empowered, educated, and able to reach their full potential.
