Support Still Urgently Needed Despite Initial Relief Efforts
On March 28th, a devastating 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck large parts of Myanmar and Thailand, causing widespread destruction, especially in Mandalay, Sagaing, and Bangkok. Thousands of families have lost their homes and access to basic necessities. In response, Caritas and its local partners have swiftly launched emergency relief efforts to assist the affected communities.
What Has Been Achieved So Far:
These efforts were made possible by Caritas' strong local presence and the rapid mobilization of resources. However, the scale of devastation means that thousands remain in urgent need of further assistance.
