In March 2025, the " Project to support the improvement of the traditional chicken farming system" was developed and submitted to GlobalGiving .
The overall objective of this project was to "contribute to the improvement of the traditional livestock system by introducing high-performing breeding stock to 5 courageous, experienced farmers who did not have sufficient resources to promote their activities."
Specifically, it involved:
ü To make poultry production semi-professional in communities;
ü Improve the living conditions of livestock farmers;
ü To encourage consumers to appreciate local livestock products;
ü To encourage farmers to comply with simple technical farming practices;
üTo empower producers to effectively manage their operations.
The expected results of said project were as follows
ü The level of knowledge of traditional chicken farming techniques has been strengthened and appreciated;
ü The conditions and breeding system of traditional chickens have been improved;
ü Avian diseases causing mortality in birds have been brought under control;
ü An increase in the number of hens in the chicken coops has been observed;
ü The data for the proper management of activities are respected;
ü The changes brought about by the activities are collected;
ü The difficulties encountered are noted and actions are directed towards improving the quality of activities;
ü The collected or recovered manure is used for composting to fertilize arable soils.
However, since its publication, the NGO has only been able to collect $10.50 so far.
