In March 2025, the "Project to Support the Improvement of the Traditional Chicken Farming System" was developed and submitted to GlobalGiving. The overall objective of this project was to "contribute to the improvement of the traditional farming system by introducing high-performing breeders to five courageous and experienced farmers who lack sufficient resources to promote their activities." Specifically, the objectives were to: Make poultry production semi-professional in communities; Improve the living conditions of farmers; Encourage consumers to appreciate local livestock products; Encourage farmers to respect simple technical breeding practices; Empower producers to properly manage their activities. The expected results of the project were as follows: Knowledge of traditional chicken farming techniques was increased and appreciated; Traditional chicken farming conditions and systems were improved; Avian diseases leading to mortality were further controlled; An increase in chicken numbers in poultry houses was observed; Data for proper management of activities was observed; Changes induced by activities were collected; Difficulties encountered were identified, and actions were directed to improve the quality of activities; The collected or salvaged manure was used for composting to fertilize arable soil. However, the project has not received any funding since its publication. Done in Sokode, July 17, 2025 For the NGO CAV, the Coordinator GBELE-GUEWE Djobo Ousmane
