In March 2013, five young adults who grew up at Samsungwon, the orphanage/children's home in Gumi, South Korea went to college. We are pleased to inform you that your generosity allowed KKOOM to provide each of them with a 500,000 won (~$500 USD) scholarship to help pay for their living expenses while they go to school. Upon successful completion of their spring semester and continued enrollment in the fall semester, KKOOM will provide them each with an additional 500,000 won in August. These young adults are majoring in subjects ranging from music peformance to nursing to technology. All of them live in dormitories during the school year and return to visit Samsungwon on their school breaks and holidays.
Thank you for your continued support of this important KKOOM initiative. As always, we invite your direct contact and feedback at any time. I can be reached at ajachym@kkoom.org or 269-340-0430. You can also follow us on Twitter or find us on Facebook.
Thank you!
