Fikelela Child and Youth Care Centre proudly shares with you the difference that your donation has brought about in the lives of our beautiful children.
Currently we have 36 children in the home with 5 young babies and it is amazing to see the ones who were the babies before seeming so grown up as you watch them engage with each other.
Can you imagine 21 boys and 15 girls each with their own identity, character, sense of humour, levels of confidence, ready to face a new day.
We see the change in our children daily as they receive love and joy from our Carres, Social Worker, Nurse, Auxillary Social Worker, Manager, Administrator, Driver, the Cooks and even from their own peers.
Your donation enables us to do enrichment programs daily and this deals with their fine and gross motor skills, we incorporate games and educational processes which assist them with listening, improving memory skills, their vocabulary, following instructions, our children love being part of group therapy and engaging in group play.
We currently have two boys who are being home schooled by our volunteers and educators who have retired and still have the deep passion and commitment to educate children who are in need of assistance.
On behalf of our children we say thank you for touching our lives and making a difference out there.
