GLOBAL GIVING REPORT support for 80 children

We are at the time of the year where everyone is busy, feeling fatigued and  overwhelmed by all that still needs to happen.

Actions speaks louder than words we have had focused sessions with our children around behaviour.  Using our Jerry Giraffe resources we are able to teach the children listening skills, discipline as to when they are able to speak holding the talking flower and affirming them when they are stars.

The children have had sessions in how to communicate with their peers at a level that they understand , they are at a stage where their opinions matter and also allowing them to engage and voice what is on their minds.

At the beginning of October they attended a 3 day session holiday club where they engaged around a sexuality program called Survivor Africa making better choices, learning to love their bodies and to say NO.  Day 2 we  had them in dialogue and it was interesting to see how they moved between agreeing to certain statements and not agreeing.  Day 3 we covered cyber bullying and human trafficking. 

Empowering them with knowledge and skills  which enables them to  relate to our day to day living.

Without your support we will not be able to give them all of this love, care, support and awareness about positive living.

Your donation is appreciated, valued and every day counts and it has made a huge difference.  Looking at the glow on their faces, the pretty little smiles, the laughter and giggles, the recognition of a face, calling your name, excited to show you something.  These are the treats when you work with children who have been abandoned .  WE are the family they know, we are the ones who make every day count, we believe in them and we claim in on their behalf. Academics is not always their strong point so we have to invest a lot of time to get their confidence levels boosted and for them to believe that they can do it.  Every day we do postive living with, through recreational play, motivational talks, sharing and listening to them.  Loving them is so easy and we are grateful for the support offered to make it happen.  Two of our girls have joined scouts at their school and we have watched them flourish and mature into two beautiful young girls.  True to our word we ensure that we make every day count in their lives and they believe and we are claiming it on their behalf.
