The community projects of the Jacinto Convit Foundation are designed to support the most remote populations, in order to assist communities in vulnerable situations in priority areas such as nutrition, health and education, in order to improve their living conditions. These are carried out in collaboration with social and non-profit organizations, as well as with different local leaders, who support us in identifying and addressing the most urgent needs of each population.
Poverty remains widespread in Venezuela and the latest statistics for 2024 report that: 82.2% of households are poor based on their income and lack of purchasing power to access basic goods; 66.9% of the population that went to a health center did not obtain the necessary care or stopped attending due to suspension or closure of medical services.
Our community projects are aimed at addressing the immediate nutrition, health and education needs of Venezuela's most vulnerable populations. This is possible thanks to the sum of efforts with organizations and people, with whom we join to provide food assistance, primary health care, clothing, technological equipment and technical aids. Likewise, the projects prioritize education in social values to promote well-being.
By 2025, the Jacinto Convit Foundation estimates that it will benefit 800 people, including children, adolescents, the elderly, people with disabilities and cancer patients, residents of two sectors in the interior of the country: San Jose de Barlovento (Miranda) and Rio Paguey (Barinas). In five years, we estimate that we will benefit 6,000 children and adults in 15 communities.
