Jyoti and Kanheyalal's inspiring success story showcase the transformative power of knowledge and support!
Jyoti and Kanheylal are small scale farmers from Girwa, a rural block in south Rajasthan. They are hardworking farmers who desire to live a good life and provide for their family. Despite that, last year their harvest of coriander failed. The crop failure was a big blow to their confidence and to their belief in making a living for themselves, while they incurred financial setbacksl. This is when they came in touch with Seva Mandir grassroot workers. Jyoti and Kanheyalal shared their problem and how they are slowly delving into the web of debts and poverty. Afraid and fearful of the future, they were in desperate need of help.
Seva Mandir grassroot workers counselled both Jyoti and Kanheyalal and encouraged them to persevere in these tough times. They were then provided critical training of organic fertilizers, irrigation and sowing. With newfound knowledge and a homemade organic fertilizer made from cow dung and neem leaves, they worked tirelessly to cultivate a smaller portion of their farm, but with far greater efficiency and effectiveness than ever.
Eventually, their hard work and dedication paid off in a big way! The quality and quantity of their coriander harvest exceeded their dreams, and they were able to sell it with huge profit in the market .This transformative success enabled Jyoti and Kanheyalal to earn an incredible INR. 35,000 - a sum they had never achieved through traditional farming crops. This was not only a financial success but also a morale boost for them, giving them incredible confidence to work hard for their dreams.
Their story is a testament to the life-changing impact of knowledge and the power of partnership in driving transformative change. We can achieve all this success only and only because friends like you are continuously supporting us. We hope that you will continuously support our programme and support our farmers and their families.
We would like to thank you from the bottom of our heart for joining hands with us.
Best Wishes,
