Dear Friends,
Poonki Bai is from the village of Alsigarh in rural Rajasthan. She has limited education and a small farm, but her husband has to migrate to a nearby town to make ends meet. Through the Livelihoods Initiative, supported by supporters like you, Poonki has learnt natural farming methods and received seeds and tools to successfully grow vegetables on her land, reducing her production costs. In a good season, she earned around Rs. 5,000 from her produce, contributing to her family's income and well-being.
Through her participation in the project, she and 18 other women have learnt to make small savings and gained access to safe credit through the self-help group she belongs to. She is now able to provide a good education for her children. This initiative has not only improved the welfare of her family, but has also empowered Poonki, showcasing the impact of your support.
Thank you for giving farmers like Poonki the opportunity to break out of the cycle of poverty.
Warm Regards
Ronak Shah
Chief Executive
