Thank you for your continued support to our project ‘Improving Food Security for Tribal Farmers’.

With your support we are about to begin a new year and are excited about the hopes and challenges it will bring. And at this yea rend, we would like to share half yearly progress report of this project. We have attached the progress report for you to know how exactly YOUR support is creating real change. Below is the snapshot of the progress report:

Across 19 villages of Udaipur, 169 farmers planted 3,236 fruit saplings.
24 farmers cultivated vegetable and earned Rs. 250,000 (USD 5,000)
During last summer season in Badgaon block, the vegetables like okra, ridge guard, and chilly were consumed by the farmers. In Peepad, Rama, Challi and Semal villages, 68 farmers grew different type of vegetable and earned Rs. 952,700 (USD 19,044) mainly cluster bean and coriander were sold.
Last year we distributed green gram seem seeds in summer season in Kotra block among 115 farmers. Farmers used 360 kg of provided seed and total production was reported to be 9,472 kg which was old at the rate of 60/- per kg. The farmers earned Rs. 568,320 (USD 11,366).
