Because of You, Ahmed's Lifeline Continues!

Dear Supporter,

We are grateful to share the story of Mr. Ahmed, a 70-year-old patient from Salqin whose life has depended on regular dialysis since 2015.

After suffering a heart attack while in Türkiye, Ahmed developed kidney failure. For eight years, he received continuous treatment there. Following the earthquake, however, he was forced to return to Syria, uncertain whether the care keeping him alive would still be available.

Today, Ahmed receives regular dialysis at SEMA’s Kafr Takharim Dialysis Center in northern Syria.

For him—and for many other patients—these sessions are not simply medical appointments. They are the only way their bodies can continue functioning and their lives can continue.

The center provides safe, consistent, and compassionate care close to home, sparing vulnerable patients the exhaustion and cost of travelling long distances for treatment.

Ahmed describes the center not merely as a medical facility, but as a lifeline that gives him hope to continue one day at a time.

Every Dialysis Session Gives Aisha Another Chance at Life!

Dear Supporter,

Thanks to your generous contributions, patients like Aisha can continue receiving the life-saving care they cannot live without.

Aisha is 67 years old and lives in the town of Isqat in rural Idlib. Three years ago, persistent swelling and pain in her legs led her to seek medical care. After undergoing several tests, she received life-changing news: she was suffering from kidney failure and needed to begin dialysis immediately.

Since then, Aisha’s life has depended on three dialysis sessions every week. These sessions cannot be delayed or missed without putting her health—and her life—at serious risk.

Today, she receives free treatment at the Kafr Takharim Dialysis Center, supported by SEMA. For Aisha and dozens of other patients in the region, this center is more than a medical facility. It is a lifeline.

“The illness has exhausted me and greatly affected my ability to move,” Aisha says. “But having this center nearby has eased so much of my suffering. I no longer have to search for distant facilities or face treatment costs that I cannot afford. The transportation service from my home to the center has also helped me attend my sessions regularly.”

Aisha also speaks warmly about the medical team, whose kindness, patience, and respectful care give her comfort and reassurance during every visit.
