Dear Donors:
Thank you for your donation to the American Friends of the Spafford Children’s Center during the GlobalGiving Accelerator campaign. Your generosity allowed us to raise $10,616 from 86 donors which will support the Spafford Children’s Center educational programs in East Jerusalem and the West Bank. The kids are excited that they will be able to continue their studies and activities at SCC.
Many Palestinian children live with political unrest and violence that can trigger post-traumatic stress reactions, depression, and learning disorders. With the support provided by SCC, these children are able to better respond to the trauma they experience. Remedial courses in Arabic, English, and math are provided by the Spafford Children’s Center for children whose cognitive functioning and school performance has been affected by emotional stress disorders. Students make measurable progress at SCC because they get individual attention. The children thank you for the chance to learn and succeed!
With your contributions, SCC will be able to offer classes to more children and help their mothers learn how to support at home the gains their children are making in class.
