Hot Meals Ease the Suffering of Displaced Families in Abu Mazeed Camp

By AMAL ALUMMA ORGANIZATION INC | project Leader

Amid the difficult humanitarian conditions faced by displaced families in the Gaza Strip, our teams continue to implement food relief projects to meet the daily needs of the most vulnerable households. We prepared and distributed hot meals to displaced families living in Abu Mazeed Camp in the Deir Al-Balah area, northern Gaza Strip.

Families in the camp are living under extremely harsh conditions after being forced to leave their homes and seek shelter in tents that lack the most basic necessities. With continued food shortages, rising prices, loss of income, and limited access to fuel and cooking facilities, preparing a hot meal has become a major daily challenge for many households.

In response to this urgent need, our team prepared the meals and distributed them directly to families inside the camp, prioritizing children, widows, elderly people, and the most vulnerable households. These meals provided warm, ready-to-eat food to families that could not afford to purchase ingredients or prepare food themselves.

For displaced families, these meals were more than food to relieve hunger. They were a message of solidarity, care, and reassurance that they are not alone. The distribution also eased some of the daily pressure faced by mothers struggling to provide food for their children under extremely difficult humanitarian circumstances.

We sincerely thank all the donors who supported this project. Because of your generosity, we were able to deliver warm food to displaced families and provide them with moments of comfort, dignity, and hope.
